FRANCHISE ALLEY

The Hockey Hall of Fame project involved the design and development of two permanent exhibit areas: Franchise Alley and Road to the Top.

Goal: The objective was to create two engaging exhibit experiences that celebrate the history, identity, and journey of hockey. Each space needed to educate and inspire visitors while showcasing authentic artifacts in a visually compelling and accessible way.

Solution: Franchise Alley was designed to highlight all current NHL franchises through a curated collection of team memorabilia, graphics, and storytelling that captures the unique history and identity of each organization. To further celebrate the personality of each franchise, the exhibit also incorporates stylized representations of several team mascots, recognizing their role in shaping fan culture and creating memorable game-day experiences. Located alongside it, Road to the Top focuses on the paths taken by both men's and women's players as they progressed to the professional level. The exhibit features artifacts and stories from junior, collegiate, and international leagues—including the OHL and other developmental organizations—illustrating the dedication, milestones, and experiences that shaped their careers before reaching hockey's highest level.

Together, the exhibits create a seamless narrative that celebrates both the legacy of NHL franchises and the individual journeys of the players who made their way to the sport's biggest stage.
